The 1956/57 season brought in another Milan Serie A league title. Or rather two. Better yet…make that three. Milan was the first team to get Scudetti (national titles) with their Reserve squad and Youth squad, which corresponds to the current Primavera tournaments. The Reserve league was much talked about, and highly anticipated by top clubs of the time, which allowed teams to play internationally.
Among those caught up in the glory of this story-line was the young Caesar Reina, who was a big part of the triple success. He played two games with the main team (in Trieste, the game was interrupted by fog but went on to be a 3-1 win for Milan, and an international game against Spal with a 1-0 result) along with several matches for the other two championships. It was an excellent year for the Rossoneri, and was an exclusive record by the club, whereby they also closed the season with additional victories in the Viareggio Tournament and the Coppa Disciplina.
