Milan History: Beginnings of The Home of Milan!

beginnings-the-home-of-milan/Where today you would find the Central Station in Milano, once was the game field called Trotter di Piazza Doria. It was used by Milan between 1900 and 1903. “Game Field” was the appropriate term to use for the home of the Diavoli, since it had everything necessary to play the game, but nothing more. Just a bit of grass and a couple of gates. The team’s actual offices were on via Turati and were very far: the first locale for Rossoneri leadership was at the Fiaschetteria Toscana (Tuscan Wineshop), situated at the corner between via Berchet and via Foscolo. Interesting to say that the locale had changed ownership many times over the decades, to a seemingly interesting twist of fate. Eventually it became a bank branch, and then more sadly as a store selling Inter merchandise.
