Milan History: First Historical Book for the Rossoneri

milan-history-milans-first-historical-bookUlysse Baruffini, a former manager of AC Milan and of the Lega Nord of the CCI (Confederazione Calcistica Italiana), was the first to attempt at drafting the history of AC Milan. After just twenty-six years from the founding of the Rossoneri, he wrote Milan’s first historical book that tells of the events of the team through the years. Therefore, in his first serious attempt to give a sense of sacredness to Milan with his book called AC Milan Football Club, he recounted the twenty-five years of the team’s existence.

Unfortunately, today the book is deemed to be extremely rare, and if one were to find a copy it should be kept as a priceless artifact. Before Baruffini there were some who unsuccessfully attempted to keep record of Milan’s history. Among them was the vice-president of Milan, Gilberto Porro Lambertenghi, who took a few notes here and there, but later died in World War I.
