5. Aldo Boffi
Aldo Boffi had an impressive record of 131 goals in 187 appearances during his 8 years with AC Milan for seasons 1936 to 1945. Although he didn’t bring AC Milan to win any significant trophies or awards, he did achieve his own as top scorer in Italy’s Serie A, with 19 goals in season 38/39, 24 goals in season 39/40, and 22 goals in seasons 41/42.
4. Jose Altafini
As you might guess from his name, Jose was half Italian and half Brazilian. While he played for AC Milan from 1958 to 1965, he scored 161 goals during 246 appearances. Among his achievements as one of Milan’s top scorers were two Scudettos (58/59, 61/62 seasons), and one European Cup (62/63 season).
3. Gianni Rivera
Rivera was definitely influential during his time at AC Milan for seasons 1960 to 1979, almost 20 years. Although he didn’t fair as high a goal average per game appearance as his counterparts, he still makes number 3 in the list. His nickname was the “Golden Boy,” he certainly earned that title with 164 goals in 658 appearances, that gave way to more than just a few trophies for the Rossoneri. During his time at Milan, they won three scudettos (61/62, 67/68, 78/79 seasons), four Italian Coppas (66/67, 71/72, 72/73, 76/77 seasons), two UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup (67/68, 72/73 seasons), two European Cups (62/63, 68/69 seasons), and one Intercontinental Cup (1969 season).
2. Andriy Shevchenko
In his 7 season plays at AC Milan, Shevchenko scored 175 goals in 322 appearances. In a short amount of time, he was able to make the list as top 2 in Milan’s history. His numerous goals gave way to Milan’s accomplished trophies such as one Scudetto (2003/04 season), one Coppa Italia (2003 season), one Italian Supercoppa (2004 season), one UEFA Champions League Cup (2003 season), and one UEFA Super Cup (2003 season).
1. Gunnar Nordahl
Finally we get to AC Milan’s number 1 striker! Gunnar Nordahl was among one of the strongest strikers of his time during his 8 seasons with the Rossoneri for the years 1948 to 1956. His 221 goals in 268 appearances made him the most efficient scorers, and of course it brought Milan to numerous achievements. He was an essential part of the team that broke the Scudetto dry-spell with two Scudettos (50/51, 54/55 seasons), and two Latin Cups (50/51, 55/56 seasons). Evidently he is also considered the greatest Swedish football players of all-time.
