Not just a player, Antonio Busini, took on the roles of Technical Director, Coach, Executive Vice President and Interim President for Milan. Officially one of the first “Jack-of-All-Trades” for the Rossoneri, Busini was also the son-in-law of President Umberto Trabattoni. Having been involved with Milan during the forties, fifties and sixties, it was safe to say he knew everything and anything there was to know about the team. He became Chief Executive (previously as Special Commissioner) to replace President Trabattoni when he had moved to Switzerland during the war (July 1944-April 1945).
Soon after, he went on to become Technical Director during the seasons in which Nordahl ruled the league, and was the Sports Director that lived to anticipate Milan’s Latin Cup championships during the 1953/54 and 1955/56 seasons. Finally he became Vice President for the two seasons that the Rossoneri ended up winning their Serie A league championship scudetti (seasons 1954/55 and 1956/57).
